Manchester City have now commissioned a sculpture of priest Vincent Kompany to be set up outside the Etihad Stadium.
The Premier League champions have also renamed a street in their training complicated.
The road connecting the first-team centre as well as the club’s academy pitches was renamed’Vincent Kompany Crescent’, and features a mosaic inspired by his match-winning goal against Manchester United in 2012.

“His participation is going to likely be remembered for decades to come, by supporters of the club and the broader football community that recognise Vincent among the iconic Premier League figures of his creation.”
