This weekend in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, we’ve got the opportunity to witness none but two UFC domain fights which have been in the making for quite some time.
In the co-main occasion, for Bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko squares off opposite former several time Strawweight women’s champion, Joanna Jedrzyczyk for the brand new and vacant women’s 125 pound Flyweight world title strap.
These two women have a friendly rivalry that dates back for their amateur fighting times at the European Muay Thai Championships. Valentina was able to come out on top each battle, albeit with more experience each time and she is the larger fighter.
More on the dimensions difference later.
The principal event may include the most anticipated fight of 2018! I know that the declaration, however, think about it. Minus Conor vs Khabib, there is not a fight I was more hyped for than this one all year.
Jon Jones’s return will, undoubtedly, be fairly awesome but this is actually the next time these two men have gone through a complete battle camp in preparation for their struggle. The first time around, Max Holloway was hauled from the contest at the last minute by the athletic commission for weight cutting problems.
Many fans and media are still speculating as to what had Max sounding so punchy and slurred in interviews past that possible first fight w Ortega back on July 4th of this year.
