(CNN) — Major League Baseball allegedly has cautioned its players that over-the-counter sexual supplements could contain prohibited ingredients that would result in unsuccessful performance enhancing drugs evaluations.
ESPN obtained a memo sent by the league officer.
The memo states in part that”the products tend to be contaminated with illegal and harmful components,” ESPN reported.
CNN requested the Major League Baseball Players Association and Major League Baseball . The team said it doesn’t create memos into clubs.
Over-the-counter, sexual efficiency improvement tablets found at convenience stores’ use — is widespread among baseball players, ESPN reported citing unnamed sources.
The US Food and Drug Administration has cautioned that the public previously about using penile enhancement solutions that were non-regulated.
Donald D. Ashley, director of the Office of Compliance at the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, told CNN last year that”the FDA was combating the retail selling of penile enhancement drug products that are frequently called dietary supplements and that include hidden and potentially dangerous active drug components.”
