Just as we approach the company end of the European Qualifiers, that nations are projecting towards next summers tournament? And whos in danger of falling out?
Domestic football makes sense for internationals during the next week, with a whole range of Qualifiers.
But is each group shaping up? In the leaders to bonds at the top, we examine the state of play going into Octobers qualifiers…
Coming up: October 11 – Montenegro v Bulgaria, Czech Republic v England; October 14 – Bulgaria v England v Montenegro
Its beginning to look like a case of when, not if, for England. After an win on Kosovo last time out, they have a game in hand along with a cushion within the qualification places.
A win over Czech Republic on Friday will seal their path and they can guarantee best place too should they can do the double and beat Bulgaria or Kosovo neglect to take maximum points.
The second spot is more up for grabs. Should they dont beat England on October 11, czech Republic are now second but could be leapfrogged by Kosovo. Montenegro and Bulgaria, both winless using just 2 points per day, will need something approaching a miracle to finish within the top two.
Coming up: October 11 – Portugal v Luxembourg, Ukraine v Lithuania; October 14 – Ukraine v Portugal, Lithuania v Serbia
Life is looking pretty sour on very top of Group B to Ukraine, who seem to qualify for their Euro finals in a row. A triumph over Lithuania on Friday will all-but see them through.
Portugal are far from assured of a opportunity to keep the trophy they won from 2016 at France, however they do have a match in hand over third-placed Serbia plus a triumph over minnows Luxembourg will provide them some breathing space.
Luxembourgs improbable shot at a location will soon be over with defeat Portugal, although Lithuania must provide a jolt in Ukraine if they want to continue to keep their dreams alive.
Coming up: October 10 – Belarus v Estonia, Netherlands v Northern Ireland; October 13 – Estonia v Germany, Belarus v Netherlands
Last time was ripped apart by Germany out but Michael ONeills side have their fate in their own hands. Awaits on Thursday night but defeat because wouldnt be fatal, although it could be a blow.
Leaders Germany might wind up leapfrogged by Netherlands at the conclusion of the break, especially if theyre held themselves by Estonia on Sunday, while Belarus must conquer Estonia also to stand some opportunity.
Coming up: October 12 – Georgia v Republic of Ireland v Switzerland; October 15 – Switzerland v Republic of Ireland v Georgia
A month, republic of Ireland look after the comeback attraction in good shape Switzerland and by beating out Georgia next time, they would be left in sterling contour Denmark and Switzerland .
If Switzerland neglect to win this one, if Ireland take points in Georgia itd give them a chance to work on Sunday.
Georgias surprise attraction with Denmark last time out gave his purpose of qualifying to them, but they are eliminated this weekend – worse information for Gibraltar, whove lost every match and are out of contention.
Coming up: October 10 – Slovakia v Wales, Croatia v Hungary; October 13 – Wales v Croatia, Hungary Slovakia Azerbaijan
Wales could be fourth in Group E as they seem, although things arent all. A win within Slovakia on Thursday will take them level with a game in hand, and it is close a must-win match for Ryan Giggs also third and first moving.
Croatias blip against Hungary aside they have been consistent up at the top, but theres a reason Hungary qualified for its past Euros and theyre very much still in it.
Azerbaijan are out, even though having an eye-catching draw with Croatia in September.
Coming up: October 12 – Faroe Islands v Romania Malta v Sweden; October 15 – Faroe Islands v Malta, Sweden v Spain, Romania v Norway
The perfect album of spain has them as good as through and theyre able to reserve their place in the finals this weekend.
That aside second area is up in the atmosphere, with Sweden, Romania and Norway split by 2 points with two games to move. Romania will be pleased theyre the threes side to not play Spain this weekend and they sponsor Norway following Tuesday in a game that could have impacts.
Additional down Malta and Faroe Islands are both back, with just three points to show between them – though that will change if they go.
Coming up: October 10 – Latvia v Poland v Israel, North Macedonia v Slovenia; October 13 – Slovenia v Austria, Poland v North Macedonia
It is all a little bit congested with only five points separating the top five groups, on very top of Group G. Poland, who are two points clear from Slovenia, have taken the bull by the horns and have pointless Latvia up next, so will be convinced of earning one win weekly.
The streak of three wins in a row of slovenia has lifted them up but they have Austria, who will be a point behind them.
Israel and north Macedonia are five points but with 12 points to play for from the four matches, they are still in contention to the qualification places.
Coming up: October 11 – Iceland v France, Turkey v Albania, Andorra v Moldova; October 14 – Moldova v Albania, France v Turkey, Iceland v Andorra
As France get set to confront Iceland and Turkey it is a pivotal week Group H. Two wins out of two for Didier Deschamps side, who currently sit second in the group behind Turkey on goal difference and of Iceland, could find them take a massive stride towards eligibility.
Albania, who are six points behind Turkey and France, will be hoping they could still sneak in the spots with four matches to go, but there is not much room for error for Edoardo Rejas side.
Coming up: October 10 – Kazakhstan v Cyprus, Belgium v San Marino, Russia v Scotland; October 13 – Scotland v San Marino, Kazakhstan v Belgium, Cyprus v Russia
Belgium have a record in qualification up to now and they can confirm their place with victory against San Marino or some draw between Cyprus and Kazakhstan.
Its also a final throw of the dice for Scotland in Group I. Steve Clarkes side has to beat Russia to have any chance of qualifying, but if they do not they could still attain Euro 2020 as they are guaranteed a play-off place for winning their Nations League group.
If Russia, who are eight points clear of Kazakhstan and Cyprus in third and fourth beat Scotland and Kazakhstan draw with Cyprus group I could be done and dusted on.
Coming up: October 12 – Bosnia and Herzegovina v Finland, Italy v Greece, Liechtenstein v Armenia; October 13 – Liechtenstein v Italy, Greece v Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland v Armenia
Theres still a lot to play for in Group J together with Finland, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece all still vying to finish from the qualification areas with Italy, who have won all their matches so far.
Roberto Mancinis side will qualify with success.
Finland, who have 12 points from their six games so far, currently sit second from the team and are on track to produce their debut in a significant finals. But they face two big games from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are just five points behind Finland, and Armenia, that are third in the group, three factors behind the Finns.
