New Zealand Rugby have announced that former All Blacks centre Mark Robinson will succeed Steve Tew as chief executive.
Tew, that has been chief executive as 2007 disclosed he is going to resign from the role at the end of the year.
Robinson, who played with nine evaluations for his nation, will take over the role.
He explained:”I am truly excited by what this opportunity offers.
“I’ve got a very clear vision to continue to develop the excellent work already established under Steve’s watch and recognise the substantial duty we’ve got in ensuring our match proceeds to flourish at all levels.”
Robinson had his career blighted by a series of accidents, after he murdered returning to New Zealand as chief executive of the Taranaki Rugby Union.
One of his first jobs are to build a relationship with Steve Hansen stepping down following the World Cup.
