Soccer Saturday legend Jeff Stelling Awoke for Men on Thursday March on His Own 100-mile to raise awareness and money .

Jeff will participate in four marathons, in four countries – starting in Glasgow on Thursday, before finishing on Sunday in London and travelling to Belfast, Cardiff.
Prior finishing in Motherwell thursday’s course took Jeff to the grounds of Celtic, Rangers and Hamilton Academical from the stadium Hampden Park.
Before he started his effort, Jeff told Sky Sports News:”We’re trying to increase awareness of a disease that kills one person every 45 minutes, then each half a football game. One in eight of us could contract prostate cancer at any stage in our own lives, and it is a phenomenal figure.
“Men are hesitant to visit their GP about whatever and if it’s to do with something under the waist they are not going anywhere close to it. It is an attitude that alter and we’ve got to try.
“We’ve done 25 marathons in the past to attempt to change this attitude and I think it is working. Folks have been very generous and they’ve contributed #800,000 over the past couple of years and we’re expecting to get beyond the #1m this year.”
On the road, Stelling expects to be joined by many of his friends within the footballing world and he put off on the first leg using Malky Mackay and David Moyes, together with Charlie Nicholas joining at Celtic Park.
Nicholas was meant to join at the last stop, Ibrox, but he wasn’t surprised prevented the home of his former club the rivals of Celtic.
He said:”Can you really expect him to turn up in Ibrox? Chicken Charlie – that’s what we call him.
“He is in London and his flight was delayed so he is attempting to have here as soon as he possibly could. We’re told surprise, surprise that it will probably be sometime soon after we’ve left Ibrox.”
If he visits Cliftonville Crusaders, Glentoran and Linfield from Northern Ireland stelling will last his 16-club excursion.
