NASCAR’s first visit to the Roval (half street program, half oval) is going to likely be at Charlotte per week and a whole lot is up for debate.
Can this race play very similar to a road course like Watkins Glen with a number of wide open segments where drivers can pick up some speed, or can it perform more as an intermediate track in which drivers Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick have mastered so frequently over the last couple of years?
The truth lies somewhere in the center, or possibly a little. BET Chicago says the Roval can play 33 percent like Watkins Glen, 33 percent just like Charlotte Motor Speedway and another 33 percent like an intermediate course.
That’s a lot to digest, however this is a race where moving chalk is the best option. Watkins Glen is loved by kyle Busch; he has success on tracks and he’s coming off of a win. He will be stalking the leader if he isn’t out in front and’s the betting favored at 3/1.
