Former world # 1 Andy Murray was given a wild card for the Shanghai Masters of following month.
The three-time Grand Slam winner has been continuing his comeback – this summer, having eased his way into activity doubles.
He is set for a busy autumn beginning in Beijing and Zhuhai, including three months in China, and cried at the Shanghai Pros, where he’s a former winner.
He said:”I am looking forward to be going back into Shanghai, a championship I have had success at in the past – the previous time I had been there was at 2016.
“Due to this tournament to get a wild card, it is great to be able to keep my comeback and play tennis in China.
“Shanghai is a terrific city, I’m comfortable there and the lovers are always supportive.”
Murray endured first round leaves at the Cincinnati Masters along with also the Winston-Salem Open in his early singles excursions since the operation on his right hip.
He then played with a Challenger event in Spain where he reached the final 16 before distributing.
The Zhuhai Championships begin on September 23 – and Murray has signed up for the European Open at Antwerp, That Is the week after Shanghai.
