Social media platform Twitter says it’s”taken action” on”more than 700 examples of hateful conduct” at the past two weeks following many Premier League players were racially abused.
Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham and manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba are among those people who were targeted.
The internet service states it will”continue to take swift action”.
It has also fulfilled clubs and other football bodies in an effort to”handle the problem collectively”.
“This informative article has no place on the service,” it said in an announcement. “We want to play our part in curbing this unacceptable behaviour”
Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard and united manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have been one of those asking for social media firms to do more to suppress racist behavior.
Pogba, both Abraham and United Marcus Rashford were all abused after penalties for their own clubs.
Twitter stated:”In the previous two weeks, we’ve taken actions on over 700 examples of abuse and hateful behavior associated with UK soccer.
“We will continue to take speedy action on the minority which try to undermine the dialogue for most. In that identical time, we have met together with the Professional Footballers’ Association, Kick soccer clubs Out and directly influenced, also agreed several proactive steps to handle this issue.
“Working together with the PFA, we will take part in their player training programme, also will be joining a collection of educational sessions using its membership to encourage the PFA’s ambition to tackle the situation.
“Working with Kick It Out, we’ll keep our working relationship with UK policing to further short them and provide training on our policies, processes and dedicated 24/7 reporting stations to law enforcement.
“To be clear, this behaviour does not reflect the huge majority of enthusiasts who utilize Twitter to participate in lively conversations around football in the united kingdom. We’ve spent years forging powerful partnerships with clubs, supporters and organisations and deeply value the connections ”
